The Center for Creativity, Innovation, and Discovery (CCID) is a K-8 charter school with a progressive teaching model built on creativity, innovation, and discovery. This approach sparks passion and curiosity in STEM. A key feature of the school is the MakerSpace Lab, where students get hands-on experience in science, technology, engineering, programming, robotics, and more. This lab complements traditional learning, promoting critical thinking and exploration.
The school’s layout emphasizes flexibility and engagement. Interconnected classrooms allow smooth transitions between large groups and smaller learning sessions, while outdoor learning spaces connect students to nature. Each classroom has direct outdoor access, integrating indoor and outdoor education. A central gathering space features an indoor tree, symbolizing the connection between built and natural environments.
The exterior combines stucco, masonry, and siding, with overhangs and sloping roofs reflecting the school’s innovative philosophy. CCID’s design blends functionality with forward-thinking aesthetics, supporting a transformative STEM education.
