Terra Academy

This K-12 charter school is in Vernal, Utah and is funded publicly. It operates independently from the Uintah School District and boasts 29 classrooms, with two classrooms available for each grade level. Additionally, the school has an art, science, and music room and a full commercial kitchen. Terra's founders strongly believe in the benefits of a healthy diet to improve their student’s education and overall wellness. As such, the school is involved in unique programs such as "Edible Schoolyard" and "Farms to Schools" to provide nutritious lunches.

All classrooms are designed to maximize natural lighting, which has been shown to positively impact student performance, health, and the overall aesthetic of the learning environment. This aligns with the school's commitment to providing a human-centered and environmentally sensitive approach to education.

The school recently completed a 12,000-square-foot addition, including classrooms and a cafeteria.
