Gourmandise Bakery - SLC International Airport

A staple of downtown Salt Lake City, Gourmandise's expansion to the Salt Lake City International Airport is a must-stop for any traveler. Situated at the entry into the North Concourse, Gourmandise is the first restaurant passers-by will see. To meet the needs of a wide variety of customers, the design team, the brand, OHM and the kitchen consultants worked closely to pack as many programmatic elements as possible into the 2,300-square-foot dining and kitchen spaces. Beyond just a sit-down restaurant, the space also holds to-go cases (for grab-and-go ease), a coffee bar (serving locally roasted La Barba coffee), a full bar with beer on tap, a pastry oven, bakery cases, and a variety of seating types for singles or groups. In keeping with the brand’s aesthetic, Babcock worked closely with the Gourmandise owners to imagine a bright, modern American diner with a French bakery twist.
